This World News entry is quite disturbing. I would like to post it though in order to show the outworking of Roman Catholic theology. The Papacy can not apologize for its evil works and results because it claims infallibility. Therefore any issues of evil are blamed on the laity just as the pope Benedict did in the issue below, "anguish was caused by some church members." One of the main doctrines that lead to this is the doctrine of celibacy for Priests and Nuns, which the Bible says is a departing from the faith (1 Thessalonians 4:1-3).
But that's not all. God says this about this system, "And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." Revelation 18:1-5 Comments by Iasmin B.
"LONDON - Tens of thousands of Irish children were sexually, physically and emotionally abused by nuns, priests and others over 60 years in a network of church-run residential schools meant to care for the poor, the vulnerable and the unwanted, according to a report released in Dublin on Wednesday."

"Pope Benedict XVI expressed 'sorrow' to a delegation from Canada's Assembly of First Nations on Wednesday over the abuse and 'deplorable' treatment that aboriginal students suffered at residential schools run by the Roman Catholic Church.
"In a statement, the Vatican said the Pope 'offered his sympathy and prayerful solidarity' to those whose anguish was caused by some church members. The comments came during a private audience with the delegation, which included Assembly of First Nations Leader Phil Fontaine, aboriginal elders and residential school survivors."
